What documents should I expect to sign for an escrow car purchase?

First escrow deal and I want to know what paperwork is normal. So far I've been asked for ID and a purchase agreement. Is there anything else I should insist on before funding?

Expect a written escrow agreement spelling out the release conditions, the inspection window, the fee, and the dispute process, plus a purchase agreement and photo ID from both parties. Insist the release conditions are explicit before you fund — that's the clause that protects you.
